chicago/chinatown/etc - 10/1

So yesterday
Chris, Fansong
and i
went to chinatown/chicago/etc.
for the day...
that was a lot of fun
because i got to visit asia
again and see various things
and take
photographs...
after we got to chicago we made our way to
the chicago culture centre to
find out how to get to the chinese church
that we were going to attend.
after that we caught an 'l'
and took that to where the church was
minus 4 blocks of walking...no probs.
when we got there
we were locked out
but some of the yard workers
let us in,
from there we heard
praise and worship going on
and braved it by entering,
in which we were amused that
there were only 8 or so people
attending...it sounded like more, and we thought there would be.
so we sat in
and listened to pastor paul
and added to what he had to say;
it did not have a service feeling
but rather a small group of sorts.
afterwards we talked to the various people attending
and
had some ice cream cake because one of the guys in the service
had his birthday.
afterwards we caught a couple more l's to chinatown
where we walked around and checked out some stores.
i bought some bulk deformed fortune cookies inexpensively,
but i wish i knew where to get some jdm car magazines or something like that...
we ate dinner at one of the restaurants
in chinatown, good stuff but very american at the same time...
(i want some more kimchee, but that is a korean staple.)
on our way back to the train station
we ran because we were late...
in which we got back,
just to see the train leave!
we sat around and i called *C* which was brief
cause she was leaving soon,
we then went to starbucks inside of barnes and noble
and discussed the various things we
never
did...
eventually it got on the subject about the
ladies
on campus and elsewhere,
being single this felt weird- but perhaps it was weirder
for fansong whose mother asks him if he is "still alone" in this regard.
i don't know
i did not spill a lot beans
but, it was akward/weird for me.
we eventually made our way back to the chicago metro trainstation
and boarded it and were off soon enough.
i was able to get some sleep in
and yet i woke up with a leg cramp that lasted a painful
5 minutes...
i drove us back to judson
and that was it,
i watched a movie and settled into slumber after that
*fin*
p.s. pictures from chicago will be up soon, i don't have the time to do that now, i just have time to write.
