now i have seen donnie darko only twice and the director's cut only once, but... i wonder what the over all reason to why steve spoke today?

i mean, it was good to hear what he said and all, but what was the underlining message to it all?
he wasn't a jim cunningham kind of guy; he spoke and didn't make us confront our fear and say that we weren't afraid.

i should have asked him "how much are they paying you to be here" - just for kicks and laughs, but... ;) i held my tongue. hopefully i'll find out his stance on the war in iraq. he seems like a george-dubya-gungho-about-war-and-i-align-my-views-to-his-for-the-most-part type of politician... we'll have to see.
