last night was different...in a good way.

So my classmate from Psych. and YouthMin. invited Jeremy and i over to her house,
to watch "Hotel Rwanda" and etc...
when i showed up, Jeremy did as well...good timing for both of us.
we went to her house
and stepped inside,
met some of the family
and
then went to the basement...
Jeremy and i quickly learned that they're a 'sword family'
because they had more than a couple of swords lying around!
we messed around with them because of two things;
1) we are guys
and
2) we're YouthMin Majors!
so while messing with them, Marta got out the blowgun and started shooting us with great accuracy!
nerf blowgun- that is...
we headed to a repair shop to get the rear license plate off her (former) car
and then we left.
there was a shelby cobra; decent...if you like american cars.
we headed out to ragamuffin; a CHRISTian outreach/coffeeshop.
*J* was there; his parents run the place and he goes to YoungLife and Campaigners.
i ordered a 4 dolla passionfruit smoothie;
it was awesome and well worth the little money that i make...
i tinkered on the piano and played from mental sheetmusic, "i wish we all been ready" by larry norman...
i stopped and i sat back on a couch that was the kind that you could very easily fall asleep in. i talked to Marta and Jeremy about..stuff. in which a young guy came in/ordered coffee and then played the piano.
very good stuff on his behalf,
i invisioned myself in a parsian-bohemian cafe in the 1880's... or something around that era.
from there we went back to her house
went to the basement
and watched "hotel rwanda" while eating pizza and whatever her father brought down to us;
he's a funny guy, but he scared me when he was talking to us with a sword in his hands!
i take it to mean; 'stay-away-from-my-daughter-or-i-will-kill-you!' or something close to that...
*i will review the movie for my blog, but in another post*
afterwards...her family came down the stairs and we watched some
"haunted house" shows/etc. because her step-mum believes in ghosts and such;
i am a non-believer in this, so...she and i butted heads...a little. i did not go into it much, because it wasn't my turf as well as for Marta's sake... :)

it was a good time/break/etc. from college life;
Marta is a gracious host and a nice girl...don't get any ideas!
and
that
was
my
friday
after
school
.
