the american dream...a poem.

in my life...
apart from GOD...
i could have easily made the 'american dream' come true;
fast cars, women, houses, vacations, wealth and more.
apart from GOD
i could have done everything to please myself, but in the end, i would remain empty...
apart from GOD
i could never be poor
i could separate myself from all that i hate
i could have walked away from my family forever...

but i am a follower of Christ,
life is different
life is better-
thank GOD i am a follower of him,
it is a hard and long road,
but the road apart from him is harder...
i
will
never
be
the
ideal
or
the
average
because
i
am
a
follower
of
GOD
